Cruz Residence

Residential Design - 2015

When you first enter the Cruz Residence, the first thing that is presented to you is a 24 foot exposed brick wall. It is big, bold and the focal point of the entryway. As you move forward, you can precede one of three ways. If you continue to proceed forward, you will be greeted with a rounded doorway, and through that door is a hallway. As you continue to the left you will see a wall right in front of you, and a door to the right. The circulation path ends in this room. From the doorway of the entry/foyer room, you can turn right and you will see the remainder of the house – the kitchen, breakfast nook, and great room.

When you enter the house, you may choose to continue to go through the remainder of the house. However, if you are entertaining guests you may choose to turn to the right and flow through the dining room – where you are greeted by a dining room table with many chairs - and from there, out into the hallway and to the kitchen. If you are not entertaining your guests in the dining room, and you want to go into the living room, from the entryway you will head through an arched doorway. When you arrive in the space you will see the entire room, which has huge, wooden, built-in, grid storage among the two walls that are immediately in front of you (the left and back walls).
